“Come & See” Comic arrives!

Each “Come & See” comic is 8 pages which are printed on one side of an 8.5″x11″ page then shipped to your congregation where your youth can get into the work by folding the paper to make an 8 page comic. After this exercise they can head out into the community to use these little comics to invite people to worship services!

“New Game” Named and Revealed!

The “New” card game that we have been working hard on here at Reclaim Press is finally named! The name comes from the scripture in Luke, from the words of Jesus: “How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49). The name? My Father’s Business and as it sounds there is an additional point to this card game.

My fellow ministers: how often has it been that we prayed in earnest that our calling card that we just left with someone did not end up in the trash? This new card game from Reclaim Press will help ensure the life of your business/calling cards. On one side of each card you have your standard business card (Name, Address, Phone number, etc.) but on the other side there is a full color trading card for the game: My Father’s Business. Cards will be made available to Ministers at special rates. You may choose to have your cards specifically designed for you (a special game card that may only be gotten from your business/ministry) or you may choose to have 1-player sets of your cards made. These 1-player starter sets have a Redeemed card and a Lost Soul card, as well as 15 other support cards. Sets that will be available at the initial release will include:

SET 1: Ananias/Saul of Tarsus (plus 15 support cards)
SET 2: Paul the Apostle/Elymas the sorcerer (plus 15 support cards)

The work continues on the “new” card game… I really must come up with a title, but first the mechanics are being ironed out. I have no doubt that a name will come out in the testing of the game and it will invariably stick. The mechanics are based upon a numberless contest system that runs along the same lines as rock-paper-scissors, so many children will be able to pick this up and play rather quickly, but the strategy depth will make it enjoyable for veterans of other card games as well.

To setup the game you will control a Biblical Hero and a Lost Soul. The object of the game is to Redeem the Lost and no matter the “winner” of the game this will always happen. Although this game is not as much a teaching tool as The Word: BBSG it is a wonderful outreach and fellowship tool. Each card will contain a Scripture reference and abilities drawn from that and surrounding verses. NEVER will quotes or abilities be brought from uninspired word, everything in the game will be Bible based (i.e. not quotes from preachers, popes, presidents, etc.) I do not know as yet if this game will be made available in Print-and-Play form, or made available only in commercial prints. Let me know your thoughts!

We are hard at work here testing a new card game. I can not say much right now but I will show you a alpha image of the game:

Originally designed as a secular game I decided that the game would make a much better fellowship and outreach tool... as well as a fun game. So, I changed the format from a mythological one to a theological one.
